Philadelphia Area Events
Philadelphia might be the City of Brotherly Love , but when it
comes to sports that slogan doesn't necessarily apply. Philly sports
fans are known for passionately supporting their teams, and
passionately disliking the visiting teams and their fans (once even
booing Santa Claus). Whether it's the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers or
Flyers, you can bet that the fans will show their support by
purchasing Philadelphia sports tickets. They might even boo their
own team once in a while, but you can't question the support of the
Philly sports fans.
Unlike some other cities, all four of the major sports enjoy a
strong fan base in Philadelphia . Of course
Philadelphia Eagles football tickets have been hot in recent
years as the team has been a perennial contender for the
Super
Bowl and the new
Lincoln Financial Field, or the Linc, has proven to be a huge
hit with fans after enduring the old Veterans Stadium for years. The
Linc is a great place to watch an NFL game, especially when Donovan
McNabb and the Eagles square off against an NFC East rival like the
New York Giants or
Dallas Cowboys, but you can't get in unless you think ahead and
get your Eagles tickets in advance.
The Philadelphia Phillies are also enjoying a new stadium,
Citizens Bank Park , and
Phillies tickets are once again a hot item. With rising star
Ryan Howard belting the ball out of the ballpark, the team is
generating a lot of excitement and talk about a return to the
World
Series. Of course you can't forget about the
Flyers or 76ers,
who both play at the
Wachovia Center . While Philly's hockey and basketball teams
have had a few losing seasons lately, both are rebuilding and it
shouldn't be long before they are back in the playoff hunt and
Flyers tickets and
76ers tickets are in demand. Philly is a great concert town, and
you can experience it for yourself with
Philadelphia concert tickets.
